well i just got an xbox
now im trying to soft mod it.
my problem is that my xbox is pal, so i need to dump my eeprom before i install ude2.
i've sucsesfulyy installed ude2 (with xboxhdm and hotswapping) but it gives error 13. wich i understand is because of my eeprom, wich isnt region 1.
i wanna dump my eeprom and edit it, so that ude2 would run, but i have no idea how.
btw: i managed to restore the original state by simply uninstalling ude2...

You'll need to hotswap again and install the easter egg exploit.

I might be wrong here though, so wait for others responses to confirm what I've said but I don't think there is an easy way if you don't want to use a save game exploit.

You can get your eeprom by running evox with a gamesave exploit, and selecting the backup option. FTP into your xbox and get c:\backup folder on your pc. This contains eeprom, hd key, and a couple of other things

btw, i had an idea. could i use pixel8-blank_serial_eeprom.bin and just mod it to pal?
or some other eeprom from a 1.6 box?

easter egg exploit will not work on your kernel. I guess you need to use a gamesave exploit. That's the only way to get an unsigned xbe (which is needed to get the eeprom) running on an unmodded xbox. Also how do you wanna edit the eeprom on the pc? You need special stuff for that.

eepmod? never heard of that. anyway why don't you just get yourself a nice copy of mechassault. you can get it second hand for like only € 10,-
