Hello All...this is my first xbox-scene post. I'm noobie to xbox modding. This site has given me the know-how to do anything and everything I wanted to my xbox. Thank you to all!!!!!

Now on to my problem. Only one so far. ;-)

Here is some info regarding my box.
V1.2
Samsung DVD-ROM
8GB HD -> upgraded to 80GB
UDE2

I have used XboxHDM tools to get the 80GB working. (*Excellent App* Worked perfectly) Everything is working well except of couple of games (original media DVD-ROM). I don't understand why. The same games(SC2 and RS3) work when I plug the 8GB back, but won't work with the 80GB. I upgraded to 80GB by copying C and E through XboxHDM tools. I don't understand stand...The drive is locked as well. Any help is appriciated.

this is a very common problem, and easy to fix.

There are two known methods to fix it.
1. (recommended)
Clear you e:\cache folder (and sometime your X Y Z drives as well)

2.
Have evox format your E:
(this can be dangerous on a UDE/UDE2 setup)

Also there are certain games that do not work with the bios, for this i recommend you upgrade to the new hacked m8 bios.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Can I just delete the files in e:\cache and xyz partitions or is there a special way?

Method 2: Can I copy everything to PC and then have Evox format E and ftp back all the files?

Thanks

well sooner or later you have to all three methods tongue.gif

because you'll find a problem game here and there until you do those three things tongue.gif

i recommend updating ur bios first, backing up ur e drive, use evox to format and DO NOT TURN OFF UR XBOX and ftp ur e drive back to ur xbox and clear the cache and x/y/z drives tongue.gif

then everything will work tongue.gif
