Can anyone help me to get the movie trailers feature to work? I have no idea what it can or should do and unfortunately do not have the skill to program something myself.. Any help would be appreciated...

you have the Apple quicktime script?

if not go get it (its called the AQT browser)

also go get the quicktime dll's (part of the compatible codec pack that JayDee is kindly hosting link is in the sticky)

i assume you have all the required pyhon files and folder- if not also get that from JayDee's sticky

how do i link it to the movie trailers button on the skin?.. i can load it through scripts... but it doesn't do anything when I hit the trailers button... also when I try to watch a trailer it just locks up...

got it to work off the skin.. but the trailers don't seem to want to play... any adjustments I need to make?

I just installed 09-03.. so I am assuming it has the newest.. I also download the codec pack you suggested.. Do the trailers have sound?

Would my router be blocking the streams? Possibly I need to forward some ports?

i don't think mplayer pre5 is in the cvs- either compile it yourself using JayDee's tutorial (doesn't require xdk so all progs are avaiable) or get it from the official xbmc forum- Ezar (one of the devs) is hosting it- its in one of the posts in the development forum i think

my xbmc is in exile till the end of september so i'm probably not of much help on this topic

Well i did read that sticky, and got all my codecs, but the most i get is

Sort by:Name

and it freezes there, python and AQTBrowser.py is there, cant figure ti out.

What am i missing?

possibly mplayer pre5? - i was under the impression that if set up correctly pre4 would work ok

Like when ur watching a trailer or something on ur pc it goes to temp files right?
Isn't it the same as on the xbox or will the DL get deleted right after I've watched it?

If some of you are having problems getting the AQT script to run, it may have to do with your DNS setting. I had a problem where it would sometime work, and then play very slow, and most of the time it just hung at the parsing screen. I have my xbox configured statically, and in order to get this working flawlessly, all I had to do was change my DNS entry (previously in the xml, now in the gui) to the ip of my router, which is the same as the gateway.

Now it runs fine. I also beleive this may have been causing some problems with webradio as well, since it seems to work much better now as well.

To the above if you are not using windows ICS or bridge mode in router, meaning your xbox connects to internet through your router than the correct setup would be to put your routers IP as both your gateway and DNS

when i pressed movie trailer on the project mayhem skin, it says parsing, but then they give me the error message, "klm doc is none". what is the problem?

I have read all the sticky's and downloaded the python script and the codec dll's. I am also running the 9-9-04 CVS build. When ever I go to the submenu and launch Movie Trailers it doesn't do shit. I have tried launching the script directly and it will flash running next to it very quickly but still nothing. so I hit the White button and it brought up some log file and it says

Yeah I got the same problem, I cant get movie trailers to run. I have added the new quick time viewer script and have 9-3-04 build. not sure whats wrong. Accually none of my scripts really work. I have the TV guid and it does not do anything and the simplkeKML wont go either. not sure what I have done wrong.

Yep im getting the "KMLdoc is none" message as well, anyone know how to fix this???

Just so u know my xbox is connectted to my pc which is connected to my router, all use the static ips
