I've done some searching on emulators that run on the xbox and I put xSnes9x on my xbox to play snes games yet I want a back up emulator. I want to know if there is another snes emulator for the xbox out there. I've searched on google for snes emulators for xbox and all I came up with was xSnes9x which is the emulator I want to get away from. Is there any other snes emulators out there?

there are no other emulators for snes on the xbox that i know of, even if there is, xsnes9x is the most feature filled one youll find.

but did you check the usual places?
mynuffinfutsitch
use your old snes
Nightfire-Player
According to the usual places on their list of full applications they have Xsnes9x and Nesterx

All emulators are listed here:

However, xSNES9x is excellent - what is the problem? Are you using the latest release (1.42)?

There is no problem with xsnes9x. I love it, it's great. It's just that I want 2 emulators for each system on my xbox as a backup emulator in case one breaks down so that way I can still play the games and worry about fixing the problem later when I get the time.

lmao, that's absolutly ridiculous

people can mess with your files so easily and make it stop working. I allow 5 other people in my household to use my xbox and a simple thing like a missing file can throw off the program then I gotta go through and find out what they did when I was at work.

how exactly are they editing your emulator files?
donkeylips8705
hey, with these emulators do you just download the emulator and put them in the apps folder on you xbox or do they have to have a certain ".xbe" file?

That is very stupid (no offense) but y dont u just change ur dash to unleashX and then place a lock on the file explorer and crap like that, so ppl can't go in and delete files unless they know the password. u can even set ftp passwords so they can't ftp ad delete shit. if u dont do that, u not just have 2 copies of xsnes9x?

BTW nesterx is a NES emulator, it is NOT for the SNES

There is xSnes9x and Snes9x-X. Its confusing, but they are two different emulators. Go to this thread.
