How do i unlock my hdd from my dead xbox with out removing the eprom chip
so i can get my saved xbox games and saved files off so i can fpt them to my new modded xbox later ???

put it in an x-box that's not dead with a chip and unlock it that way - got a friend ?

But that other xbox won't be able to unlock it - different eeprom therefore different HD password generated.
Did you backup your original HD eeprom data to your PC (which everyone should do for just such a situation)? If so, you could connect the HD to your PC and manually type the HD password to unlock it.
