Can't seem to figure this one out. I bought some some DVD+R discs before I realized that DVD-R is the preferred xbox media. Burned some movie files to the DVD+R and media player can read and play the movies. When I go to boxplorer to copy a game to the hard drive none of the files show up. The DVD player must be reading the DVD, but why can't boxplorer see them?

I also burned a game on to a DVD+r, It reads the disk but the files dont show in boxplorer so if we burnt wrong Mr Ed are u going to tell us how to burn it properly?

Also which drive do you have in your XBOX?

It has nothing to do with burning the files wrong. The drive DOES read the disc and the files can be copied using xbmc but when using boxplorer the files are not seen and, as such, cannot be copied. Maybe I should have posted this to a different group, but I discovered late last night how to copy using xbmc.

I believe XBMC uses it's own code to read discs, and supports more formats (ISO9660 etc) and is more forgiving than the XBOX usually is. It sounds to me like you didn't burn your disc UDF, or at least a UDF that is compliant with the XBOX. That's why XBMC can see it, and nothing else can.

check if u can set the booktype for your dvd rw drive..

search for dvdinfopro on goggle..

either that or use the latest dvd-decrypter from clonexb.
