Ok Ive a bunch of skins I put the xip's in the skin folder and the xbx's in the presets. Easy enough? Well only the background loads, the presets stay as blue. Please help.

ok .. does the dash just hang and u have to reset it ? when u patch the skin ?

When I change the skin while in blackstormX yes it goes to a black screen and sticks. I have to reboot, when I reload blackstromx the presets have not been applied.

Delete the 2 .xbe files and the config file. And put a new copy of the files. Sometimes i have the same problem. It works for me.

Nope, It still freezes then when i rebot its still has the blue preset. Please help someone.

Ive tried deleting the dlue preset and that does nothing, so im think its a bad install, possible. I when to the #blackstormx channel downloaded from the first mirror.

The reason i asked u if u had to reboot it yourself is that i had the same problem .. but i was booting the dash from evox .. so all i did was make it my primary dash and it worked

And also one other thing .. in the config file make sure you dont put the .xbe extenstion on the xbe name

hrm.......So theres no way to it working without making it the primary dash? I dont get why it needs to be primary. So it has to rebot it self when you change the presets and when it does that, sense my bios are configured to load evox it trys to boot up BSX and finds evox which cuases the freeeze? dang.

Im not saying it has to be primary , all im saying is that solved the problem for me

OK, I configured BlackStormX to luanch on its own from the F drive (partition 6). When change skins now it DOESNT FREEZE but the presets still dont change SOMEON HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the color patcher only works with the xbe on c:\
