Right at the moment I havent been able to work out how to change through all my different skins, I have them all in their own folders which are inside the skins folder, in tHcData folder. Do i have to name the skin folders and their contents special names or just the skin name itself. And do i have to add lines to the config.xbx file for all my skins, if so what should they look like.

I have been messing round with this for ages and the readme file that comes with the vpatcher doesnt say anything. This is probably very simple but its frustrating that i can't get it working.

From the top:
Add the line "Thcxbe=yourdashname.xbe",

this is my config file, I have no idea why it is upside down, just nevermind that, look at the bottom how I have it set up.

Im my case, my dashboard is named evoxdash.xbe (cuz thats what the loader looks for) as you can see I put in evoxdash.xbe after "Thcxbe"

Yeah sorry i worked it out the other day i had just been naming the skin.xbp and skin.xip wrongly. Thanks anyway.

Just one more question when i press the white button it changes the skin but only after i have pressed it twice the first press loads the same skin i'm using, is this a safety feature in case i didn't mean to change skins, just wondering.

I have installed vpatcher and when i launch thclite.xbe from avalauch all works in that i get the menus and am able to navigate and launch games.

The problem is that when i press the white button nothing happens.

I have all my folders under the skin folder which is sitting in thcdata on the root of c.

The readme does mention something about editing the default.xip but not which file in it

I did add the line to the config.xbx (Thcxbe=thclite.xbe)

I have added the clock and HDD info to the Sub menus ( from the tuts on Kanaberra site) not sure if this is causing problems.....

Wappp, there should have been a default.xip included with vpatch. Did you use this? It's got the code in it for launching vpatch when you press the white button.

If you want to keep your old dx.xip, then just open the new one, extract the default.xap, search for "onwhitedown" and copy all the code in that function, and paste it into you old default.xap.
