hey peeps.
i have recently encounted a problem when backing up games to my hdd. when i copy straight from the original with dvd2xbox, unleash x's built in copy or x-toolbox. the games are using twice the amount of space two examples are
headhunter redemption and halo (pal).
i have never had this problem before so i thought it was just the values that were wrong so i experimented and tried to fill up my hdd.
but sure enough the space was gone and wasnt just an incorrect display.
When i ftp files to the drive i never have his problem and cant find any info on the scene that relates to this. ive had my box over a year and it is just starting to creep up on me

How big is your HDD? What bios are you using?

its a 80gig w/d
bios is x-ecuter 2 4977

Hmmm.. well first off, start by upgrading your bios. 4977 is really old. The latest X2 bios is 4983, and you can also use the Evox M8 and/or Ind Bios 5001

i would like to flash my bios but (dare i say it) im too scared incase a mess sumthin up i didnt fit any of the mods. and i dont know this guy anymore so im at a dead end.
yes i have read the tuts and understand how easy it should be, but its not IMO worth risking it!
