XBox
Computer with spare IDE connection
Software
Windows
WinHex

To make XBox HDD Image

Hardware
1. Open XBox.
2. Open computer.
3. Plug power from computer to XBox HDD.
4. Boot computer, but press <Pause/Break> before it detects the drives.
5. Turn on XBox and let it boot to the Dashboard.
6. Unplug IDE cable from the XBox HDD then plug in one from the computer.
7. Press any key to continue the computer booting.

Software
1. Run WinHex
2. Select Tools->Disk Editor
3. Select the XBox HDD in the list and press OK
4. Press <Ctrl> + A
5. Select Edit->Copy Block->Into New File.
6. Save the file (XBox HDD image). This process will take awhile.

so??? i just want to know the simpliest way to copy my original hdd

program called norton ghost that copies everything bit for bit from one hdd to the other, works well but can take a while
