Today I started having trouble with my X-Box DVD drive so I tooh it apart and repluged in the cable and everything look fine. But when I powered my X-Box back up it starts up fine with the logo and all , then the screen changes and I get a lot of writing on screen most japanese, but the top line is in english and it saids:

06 in big numbers left corner, and next to it reads:

Service required. Call customer service.

Can someone please tell me what is wrong and how do I fix this problem?

Error 6 is a hard drive error so... what did you do to your harddrive

I tryed the that repair on the website you give me, it didn't work. Any other thing you think I could try?

if u have a modchip I think you can try getting a working xbox hd and see what happens
