Hi,

My xbox is chipped with a Xenium. All has been working fine for months. Today, when the xbox was on my video cable got knocked out. When I rebooted I now have a red flashing LED error. I can boot up to the xenium OS (v2). But when I select one of my bios banks to load (either original or Evox), the LED starts flashing red and nothing loads. I originally thought that maybe the D0 wire had come loose when the xbox got knocked but it looks fine to me. Could the video cable being knocked out while the xbox was on have caused some problem? Any ideas??

Thanks.

if you eeprom is fried you can fix it with a cromwell bios and either your backup eeprom (if u ever plan on playing xboxlive u kinda need this one) or just an eeprom from your game region ntsc pal/aus.

If you have your backup on your xbox's HDD and it's unlocked, and you have XOS 2.0.0 (You can upgrade...) You don't even need to use cromwell, you can just choose flash from .bin in the eeprom tools menu. Better yet, if you were smart enough to back it up to the chip via XOS2's EEPROM tools, just choose restore and you're good to go.

first off if its a solderless install make sure you did not knock the adapter out of position. if it is a solderless adapter remove it and reinstall it just to be sure.

second use the ftp on the chip to retrieve any eeprom.bin eeprom_backup.bin files from your edrive.

look under the eeprom settings and check out whether or not it says your eeprom is invalid or corrupt. if it is invalid/corrupt then read on. if not just try clearing your flash banks and reflashing a bios.

if the eeprom is invalid or corrupt then you will want to flash your eeprom usings a cromwell bios. this is super easy. http://arisme.free.fr/Xbox/Reflash/ grab the cromwell bios image and the eeprom patcher from that website. patch your eeprom backup to the cromwell bios and throw it on your c drive. flash it to your chip and load the bios. it will automagically flash your eeprom with the eeprom.bin your patched to the cromwell bios. after that just flash the bios of your choice and everything should work fine.

considering the fact that you knocked the box it could also be a hardware problem...

His chip is installed fine; he can boot to XOS2. While cromwell will work fine to reflash your eeprom, it's not needed with XOS2. If you have a backup on your chip, just choose "Restore EEPROM" from the EEPROM Tools menu in XOS2.

thanks for the help guys...however it looks like i don't have a backup. If I go to EEPROM Tools it just says 'Invalid EEPROM'.. crap:(
