Ok I just modded my friends 1.6 Xbox.
I used the M8 1.6 bios.
I used one of the latest versions of the EvoX dash.

What is the button combo for the M8 1.6 bios In Game Reset?

Is there a IGR for the M8 1.6 Bios?

Anyone else having problems with the 1.6 Xbox and M8 1.6 Bios not doing a IGR?

IGR is Left & Right trigers and black and start all at the same time. You need the hacked M8_16 bios and google EvoTool to modify other settings. Hope that helps.

Thanks. too much work for me esp since it's not my xbox. I'll let him suffer until Xecuter gets a bios out for the 1.6 xbox...

Thanks again.

Download SLAYERS 2.6 EVOX INSTALL CD-RW/DVD-R (159 mb) and it will have everything you need for flashing all bios's. Very easy and everything you will need.

is there a way to change IGR for the M8 bios. Because i want to remove the L&R & two analog stick as a reset. I like the L&R trigger and Back&Start very unlikely i'll ever hit those combo in a game.

If you use the latest EVtool on M8 it adds new IGR code which doesn't have the triggers+analogs IGR.

is there a way to change the IGR and make it BFM?? as far as i can see, evtool does not allow you to make it BFM ???

I've just gotten the M8 plus bios and I would like to change the IGR to
LT + RT + Back + Black. Is there a way to do this?

...Evtool 1.0.9....

I apologize, but I see no mention of changing the IGR to that configuration. I've seen the options for "simple" and "most compatible" and have only used "most compatible", which is LT + RT + Back + Start. Does the "simple" option use
LT + RT + Back + Black ?

On another note, I would prefer to use the most compatible version with the Back + Black configuration. Is this possible.

radio5,

You only need to open up the latest M8 BIOS and then simply save it. The L,R, Back, Start combo is then added automagically! You will not see an option to add it on the Evtool screen.

Hope this helps!

I went through this same thing a while ago, I tried searching for the thread for reference, but search is down at the moment.

Cheers

Thanks, but I'm trying to use BACK + BLACK.
It's just a lot easier on a controller S.

L+R+Back+Black works 100% fine with both IGR modes set in evtool.

I have found an oddity on 1.6 xboxen, and that is that if you have only one controller in, IGR only works say 10% of the time; plugging a second controller in fixes this issue entirely... I have no idea *why* it happens, but it does...

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but I'm currently having this problem and the above post matches it.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this happens? IGR worked fine with my softmodded console, but now that I have this DuoX2 console it's not working with only one controller plugged in. I'm seriously thinking about going back to softmodded, less headaches there.

Can't edit last post...

Anyways, I figured out that ANYTHING plugged in to a second port allows me to use IGR. A wireless controller eye(with the wireless controller switched off and with no batteries), the DVD remote eye, etc. In this case, IGR works no matter what is loaded...xbmc, a game, an emulator, etc. With only one item plugged in, IGR does not work at all.

Any way to fix this, or do I have to use this temp fix?

EDIT: And is there any fan settings within this BIOS? I have my fan set to 100% in XBMC, but if anything else is loaded like a game or emulator, the fan slows down to a crawl and my temps start climbing. I'd like that fan to run fast all the time if possible.
