How old? As long as it's IDE/EIDE interfaced, you shouldn't have any problems with it...

im sorry, i should have been clearer. I was wondering if I took an already formatted drive out of a pc. could i reformat it and put it in an xbox. I am not as computer savvy as i should be.[SIZE=1][COLOR=blue]

Yes, you sure can, just be sure to get a slayers boot disk or some other boot disk that can setup the partitions and format it. You don't have to reformat it on your computer. The Xbox uses a different file system than your pc does.

Yeah, I have an extra 80gb laying around but its 5400 rpm, will this be fast enough? Whats the speed of the drive that the xbox comes with?
