Full Version: V1.4 Refurb Tsop Flash Gone Wrong...
Scenyx Entertainment Community > Xbox1 Forums > Modchip Forums > TSOP flashing
Mr. Tom
Ok, i am by no means a complete n00b, but i did something that has me lost. i flashed the TSOP of a v1.4 with x2 4977.06 w/ raincoat, and fragged. the bios file was just pulled down from the usual places, ive used that version. ive used raincoat many times before, alawyas with the same results (except the first time, killed my 1.0) anyways, it looks like it flashed ok, and the bios file was good, but still a frag.

Im basically posting to see if anyone else had a similar problem while i wait for the x2.6 to get here.

There is no such thing as 4977.06, the 06 and 07 didnt start until like 4980. I suspect you used a corrupted bios.

4977 does not have support for the focus video chip that is on v1.4 boards, so you learned an expensive mistake. Get the x2.6 chip. To recover the TSOP you'll need a 29 wire mod or override the TSOP with an LPC modchip.
Mr. Tom
I already ordered the 2.6, i have no idea why i paid for 2 day shipping, its been a few days already. system-mods is a great site, except for when you want to get something fast.

and i would have sworn im using 4977 in my crystal xbox, it has a focus chip, and in at least one halo xbox, that also has a focus chip.

and why bother fixing the tsop? last time i tried, i followed some tut to the letter, and had to buy a new xbox altogether and ruined a matrix chip in the process.

one of the biggest problems in xbox modding/hacking is that there is not once source of information. even in the XS tuts, there are differing views on the same thing. someone needs to go through and compile everything into one knowledgebase that is searchable, so you dont find 7 tuts to do hte same thing, each one a different way.

Read the .nfo's that come with releases. Keep the bios with .nfo so you can easily reference the changes. There is info on bios' in the bios forum.
