Ive just bought a crystal pal xbox with K:5838 D:5838. I was wondering if this would work. I have patched the a update.xbe from a 4920, with the uberpatcher and am planningto use the s1994752\ 5838 font (not sure if i rename it or put it straight into the font folder)

So would it work if I use xboxhdm and UDE2 package and then use xbrowser to copy over the font and xboxdash.xbe.

Also each time i try to hotswap when i plug the IDE cable into the xbox drive my computer crashes , is there anything I can do about that?

UDE2 doesn't work on a PAL 5838, unless you change the eeprom to NTSC.

Just use UXE instead, this version works on all xbox kernels.

Thanks Tsjibbe, would it be better to change the region and install the UDE package or use the UDE2 package to install over the bios loader and evox and then copy over UXE fonts and xboxdash.xbe with xbrowser, thanks

Thanks, I think Im going to use that tutorial but I dont have a memcard and I dont know anyone with a modded xbox either, so Im just going to hotswop and use xbrowser....will that work?
