Hi,
I want to use this box for live but when i bought it I was told it was TSOP flashed. (He did not say if it has the orig bios or not.) When it boots after the flubber it says MS with the big X, not executer or anthing like that. When I boot into the dash (MS dash) it is the standard dash except that under the memory card it has 2 "unknown" files. How do i find out what Bios I have and if i can go on live or if i have to do a bunch of junk to get on live???

Create a boot disk, such as slayers, and see if it will boot to it. If not, I wonder if it is even flashed, because a flashed bios will read the disk, as long as the dvd drive can read that type of media.

you xan go to settings, then system info, wait for the kernel version to scroll by
but that wont be 100% since 5101 and 5838 could be either retail bios or evox bios

your drive may not be able to read the media ... you might have to try a few different types of media
