If i back up my games using DVD2XBOX and ftp it to my computer and burn the iso to a dvd+r, can i pop the newly created game dvd into my xbox and play it? will the xbox recognize this as a game? I'm looking at alternatives to saving games to the harddrive.

Yes it will work as long as you create your iso right and burn it correctly.And don't be suprised if it don't work on your first try because some dvd drives are picky when it comes to media brands just cross your fingers and hope your drive loves it if not then I suggest using other brands
