*This fix is for Slayers 2.6 Evo-x dashboard*

Ok guys, if you've changed your video mode then you probbly have a black screen OR your xbox will not even boot. If the xbox does not boot you need to unlug the AV cables from the back of the xbox.

Once you have (or believe to have) your dashboard loaded make sure it is working by pressing the down arrow on the d pad 10 times and pressing A. If everything is working fine then the xbox should power off. Another way to check is to see if you can still FTP to your Xbox.

Alright so you see your Xbox is still working and the Evo-X dashboard is still loading, horray! Now all you have to do is follow these Steps and your problems will be over. Power on your xbox and wait a few seconds for the dashboard to load.
Now follow these button movements.

Down 5 times - Press A (wait for eject to turn orange)
Down once - Press A
Down 5 times - Press A
Right once - Press A
Down once - Press A
Down 2 times - Press A (wait a few seconds then power off)

Ok now simply plug in the AV cables if needed and power on your Xbox. If the process did not work then try it again (there are more than 2 video modes). I know this method works for I changed the video mode myself and had to mod another xbox to find out the button movements.

This fix should definitly be pinned for it is the easiest and fastest way to restore your video mode if you have SLayers 2.6 Evo-X dashboard.

Why get the bootdisc if xbmp still boots? (same as with the bootdisc, blackscreen but it is there)

QUOTE

When in xbmp press DOWN 2 times. (1 time if you have TV-Guide set to false in the config.xml)

Press A 1 time.

Press DOWN 5 times.

Press RIGHT 1 time.

Press A 1 time.

Press DOWN 3 times.

Press A 1 time.

Turn the XBox off and on again, and picture should be back.

I canīt see ANY references to slayers other then those you have made in this thread so ofcourse they will not work if you boot a slayers disc.

Ok where in my thread did I say use the bootdisk??? I never said use a bootdisk bro. Also, the button movements you keep listing are not the same as mine and I do not believe they are correct.

Im really not trying to be mean or annoying, I just know that this method works and is quite simple =)

Hi Guys...
I recently got my xbox chipped, and it's been running sweetly, until that is, I changed my Video Settings mode from PAL to NTSC-JAPAN in XBMP, and now, it's buggered.
I get sound but no screen (it's black), and I don't know how to get it back to PAL mode. I followed JayDee's detailed instructions but still no result! I have an Evo-x 3235 chip (or something like that!). Even none chppied mode doesn not work!!!
Is there another way of getting round it? or am I well and truly screwed?!! ph34r.gif
HELP!!!
Thanks guys!

Hunt down a copy of the Enigmah Video Mode Selector and burn it to a disc which you know will boot in your xbox (preferably dvd-r, but your xbox will probably read cdrw as well). Give it a few seconds to make sure that it's booted up to the main screen, and press 'A' to set the video mode to PAL and 'B' to set it to NTSC. Then give it a few seconds again and power off the xbox. Once you power it back up, you should have your video back (assuming you selected the right video).

This is by far the easiest way of resetting your video mode...
