I just saw this game on easynews but i am confused as the nfo say's 25 x 50 meg files but on easynews it say's 2 parts,what is this shit about??

just means he's posting it in two parts, all the files are there apart from r13, and r14, but there's a few par files so go get em.

Is the px release a pal version? That's what the origin in the .nfo says.

anybody know if px release works on ntsc also?

It doesn't work well on my box, xecuter 1. The game runs, but after a race, when you need to press the exit button, the screen goes black and box hangs? Anyone experiencing the same probs? I never have any problems, just with this one.

Yes same here, though currently im messing with the cd version. After i complete the first 4 races in dream mode, it hangs when loading up the next screen. Every time it just freezes......im sorta pissed since i wanna keep playing it and i cant cause it freezes in dream mode.

Guys I think I have the solution for the freezing problems. My HD was allready dying out on me, so I replaced it today with a new one, putted the game back on, and it rocks!! I'm really far in the game now and no freezes or any other problems are there. My old HD, and 7200 30G IBM got really hot from time to time, so ppl adviced me to replace it. Now, an 80G 7200 Seagate baracuda is placed, and it runs really well. I guess it has to do something with the heat, or acces time to the HD or something like that. Give it a try, it works fine for me!

Uhm I forgot to mention this game really is eye-popping. If you ever need to convince somebody to buy an xbox, show em this one, really really great!

This game is nothing special to me as i just tried it and the cars handle like shit,i will stick to hot pursuit 2

You know...someone else said that saved files can cause games to crash, not sure how true this is or how often it occours with people but i might wipe my hd clean and give it a shot.

This game is nice i just wish i could contine on after the first cup series in Dream mode. ....just keeps freezing after i finish the fourth race and the loading screen appears.

cool, i install the pal projectx version last night and everthing seems to be running fine on my NTSC xbox/tv.

The funny thing is that the title screen of the Game (the main menu) is labled APEX, and doesnt say anything like racing evoluzied or what ever the UK release is called. I throught that was kind of wierd.....

o one more thing...
That graphix are pretty smooth, but the cars dont leave any skid marks...? I just like the ablity to whip donutsand leave figure8s.

I just tried this game.. wasnt too impressed, cars look nice and shiney, about it, feel of the cars I think sucked... background graphics where average.. I like racing games where cars get damaged, and leave skid marks.. Colin McRae is still my fav Xbox racing game..

Played this game some more and shit it sux's bad

Cars DO get damaged, but the damage models are crap, and yeah, no skidmarks.

The solution is in removing all files into the Swap volumes, wich are : X Y & Z ! Do that using XBox Commander or FTP software.

OK. im a bit lost since im new with editing,etc

Where do i find and remove all the swap files x,y,z?

I took a look and coundnt find those files/folders at all. Can someone tell me exactly where to look on my HD?

Are all those files on x, y and z drives swap files? Can I just delete all of them without messing up my Xbox?

It is the most impressive racing game visually on any console to date....after getting further down the game and opening up more tracks i was amazed by the graphics,car detail,track detal and instant reply, the sky scrapers in the city tracks are just HUGE and are filled with poly's to make them look real unlike other racing games that just use low poly's and flat shades of textures for its buildings,etc.

The gameplay is a mix of sim/arcade/rpg....yes the dream mode has rpg elements, no its not indepth like a regular rpg but it brings something new to the table in the racing genre.

People that say the game sucks either not like this style of racing, somone that has personal problems lol or judges a book by its cover. The heart of this game is in Dream mode as you compete in events,build your garage into a real production factory and open up tracks,cars,etc Its fun and i think this game is rock'n and most reviews that are starting to pop up on the net are all giving it nice scores.

You cant judge this game in by its Arcade mode only....thats just a little extra and like i said the heart of this game is in Dream mode.

do those freezing problems affect the retail too? cuz if it does, they really blew it then cuz most ppl won't be able to clean the cache drives themself.
