As I anxiously await my X-ecuter 2.6 modchip to come in the mail....

What's the difference between the pin-head and wired installations?
Which ones better? From what I can tell the pin-head is, but not knowing the difference I'm not sure why.

Thanks.

The pin-header is IMHO. It allows you to remove the chip by pulling it off the mobo instead of clipping wires.

if your new and all I would recomend using the pinheader installation and if you have weak soldering skills, I personally do wire install just because I've never got a bad point or anything that way but thats just me. (+ it looks more pretty to be able to see the chip hehe)

Developer Kit XBoxes (Xboxes developers use to test and work on their games) come with a pin header already installed.

The Xbox is MEANT for a Pin header.

Wires aren't bad, if you have a 1.0 xbox with the LPC holes filled with solder I'd go with a wire install, but otherwise, the pin header is easy and very reliable.
