Hi,

I have a xbox ver1.6 w/X3 & I would like to purchase a dvd burner (preferably dual layer) and not spend an arm & a leg. Ive read the posts about recommended dvd burners & which the fourm members prefered. The burner Im looking at is the pioneer DVR-108 but I dont know if I should get it after i read the 2 following conflicting posts from forumn memebers:

http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?sho...pioneer+dvr-108

http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?sho...pioneer+dvr+108

Can the members help me out & recommend if its a good burner, because i can get this particluar model for a good price.

Thaqnk you

Yes it is. It's an excellant burner.
If you had read the thread you linked to, you can see that the guy was trying to use DVD+R's in his Xbox Samsung drive.
So just be sure to use DVD-R's with your xbox and you will be fine. (Assuming you have a Samsung drive in your Xbox...)
Pioneer has not put out firmware that does a bitsetting change for DVD+R media yet.
