After tons of reading and a lot of help from several here on the forums, I used the Mech Game exploit and now when I boot up the xbox with no game I now have a option to choose Linux!!! I can choose linux and the friendly fat pinguin pops up and starts to load. It gives me a IP of 192.168.0.3. It goes through all the normal stuff and then it just sits their with a blinking cursor. Kinda of like this:

Does that now mean that the hdd is unlocked and I can now ftp into the xbox and have a field day with it? I want to put Evox on their so I can back up the hdd on drive c: and then get the bios loaded.

After 3 long weeks this is where I am at but it is really cool because now I can get that far on my own thanks to all the help from here on the forums. Thanks in advance. Thanks, Brad

OK. I got I tools on the memory card now. (at least it is thinking about it.) I will give that a shot. Thanks

I have it all loaded up now. The first thing I did was backup the c drive. I cant find a tut with a step by step guide. I also wrote down the security keys too just in case.

OK. It now boots up into Itools. I backed up the hdd and installed UDE. I still cant FTP into it. Any ideas. It gives me a IP of 192.168.0.3/static. I configured my nic and my router but still cant get in.

Allrighty then. The xbox is 192.168.0.3 I changed the ip on the nic to static 192.168.0.4/255.255.255.0/GW 192.168.0.1

Used flashfxp and voila. Backed up the hdd onto my hdd in the pc. I am using the new Ltools. Awesome software. Now that I can ftp into my xbox I need some help with loading a new dash. Any info would be great. Thanks, Brad
