v1.1 xbox
Xecuter 2.6 lite chip
4890.67 bios on one bank, cromwell on the other
pin header installed

installed the chip a few months ago and ive had no problems with it

last week my chip just suddenly started fragging while enabled (xbox is fine with chip disabled).. it had been about a week since it was used previously to that, and everything was fine

my xbox hasnt been moved, and ive checked that the chip is sitting on the pin's ok... i just dont understand whats happened to it

frag's in both bios banks btw

any ideas?

Cheers

check your pin headers and Check your d0 point. It's probably good, since you're box is fragging.

check your time chip disabled in M$ dash...i bet you need to re set it for some reason...

and how is fragging a good thing lol... if it was working for a few months then worst case scenario you may have to touch up your soldering...you may have a cold joint....the pinheader does get a bit warm with lots of gameplay...rare that it would work and not though...

hmm

when i try and boot with the chip on it frags, so i turn it off and boot normally and get asked to set the time... this happens every time i try the chip

maybe this is whats causing my problems? (im going to check the solder points in a few mins)

He's able to to boot up w/ the chip off but frags when it's on. Thats a good thing. He just have to troubleshoot the chip/pin headers.

If the box frags in both modes, then he will have to trouble shoot the entire board, the pin headers & chip.

I would add some flux and touch up your LPC points, also clean up that solder spill with some desoldering braid.
