Ok, I've FTPed before and never really had any problems. I also realize EvolutionX is not the most powerful FTP server.
So I want to backup a game (that I legally own). I put it in the XBOX. I use command line to get to D drive, but after that....
I tried mget and some others but I can't figure out from command line FTP how to get the entire D directory. I don't want to have to type in every filename explicitly which is all I've had success with so far.
I know I can use GUI FTP clients successfully, but I'd like to know the command to just do a recursive binary get of D via command line FTP.
Thanks!!

Yeah, I tried mget (as I said in my previous post) and EvolutionX ftp server said "nlst is not implemented" I'm assuming that means command unkown?
Here's the transcript:
ftp> mget D
nlst is not implemented.
ftp>
Here's another
ftp> mget *
nlst is not implemented.
ftp>
I'm running EvolutionX version 1.8.3285.

Have you tried typing nlst at the prompt or nlst on or tried to mess with that command. I am unfamiliar with what nlst is, do you know what type of FTP Server EvoX emulates?

ftp> nlst on
?Invalid command.
ftp> nlst
?Invalid command.
ftp>
And as far as what ftp server EvolutionX is emulation...no idea. I know earlier versions weren't all that stable/compatible, but it's gotten a lot better in recent versions.
My guess is that the GUI clients are not using mget to get multiple files. I looked at my GUI ftp transcript and it request each file individually with the RETR command.
I wonder if anyone has ever done an ftp transfer from their XBOX via command line ftp?

hmmm, odd... I hadn't tried it. I suggested someone try using command line once because they couldnt connect... and I can get it to do that much (as can you two, obviously) but I get the same problem you do when I try to mget and I cant find any info on that message? I'll keep looking...
