Ok, I want to do this No Modchip Hdd Replacement.

There's a program which must be used to disable locking of the original Xbox drive. Now if something goes wrong I believe I'll be totally screwed because while there seems to be a program to disable the hdd lock, there doesn't seem to be one that enables locking if something goes wrong.

Am I missing something or is a program that will enable locking of the drive?

Thanks.

Yes? No? Leave me alone it's Friday? tongue.gif

Oh well. I hope someone can give me an answer because I'm doing this tonight regardless if I get one or not.

My biggest worry is that my HDD won't be lockable, even though I've read that it was.

I'm pretty positive that everything will go ok. I've yet to run into a problem with any other mods.

IMO get a cheap modchip, then you don't have to worry about all that stuff...
Alladins are about $15 shipped!

Well I did it. I now have a 40GB HDD on my Xbox. This didn't go without error though.
It seems that when I backed up my original with HDD Driver some stuff got erased or something. It wasn't the dash or anything, but all the games (only about 3. no big deal) I had on E: and F: were gone.

There also seems to be about 2 Gigs of space I can't seem to recover from E:.

Lastly, when I start the Xbox by pressing the eject button, it loads LTOOLS like it's supposed to, but I won't allow me to use anything in the menu, such as loading Boxplorer, Installing/Uninstalling UDE, Restoring C. It also gives me error 21 when trying to reboot from LTOOLS.

Other than that it boots right into EVOX when started from the power button and plays games off the HDD & discs fine.
