Ok, I know that my xbox hard drive is unlocked, but HDD Driver won't find it. I think this is due to a lack of the code BRFR at 0x600. So is there a way to HEX edit the drive to put that on there, so I can then edit my xbox?

pretty much any hex editor can do this. instead of opening a file, open a drive. you should see an option (usually in the FILE menu) that looks similar.
