I was going to hardwire my dvd dongle to my xbox and so i choose controller port 2 since i was using 3&4 for usb and now my controller port 2 (port 1,3,4 work fine) and i have tested it with an none modded controller ports? did i blow a crystal can i fix it and i ahve a v1.1.

It wouldn't be a crystal that you killed, but it is possible to fry a port if you short it out, or hook up the powere backwards etc.

ok is there anyway to fix it with out getting a new mobo.

I need to look at a motherboard tonight when I get home from work, there may be a fuse protecting the port, but I don't know for sure...

I have basically the same prob my controller port 4 doesnt work anymore and i think its the conector on the motherboard becuz i have used different ports and 4 still doesnt work. Anyone know anything
