I called the 1-800-4MY-XBOX And Here is what happened:

ME: I just bought a used XBOX off Ebay and it pops up a screen w/21 on it.
M$: I am sorry to hear that, I will need the serial Nmbr off the bottom
Sounds like a hardware error
ME: OK, Lets see here, Their is not one! The sticker has been ripped off(Bullshit!)
M$: Blah,Blah-No more warranty
ME: Thats sucks, So now I just have a POS Xbox.
M$: No warranty, Blah,Blah,Blah
ME: Can I get it repaired from an authorized dealer?
M$: Well they just send it to us for repair..Its like a computer on the inside. It has
a hard drive in it like a computer, basically the same thing.
ME: So can I just put a new hdd in it.
M$: Well its not that simple,you can replace the hdd but it will have to be cnfgd.
ME: well how do you do that
M$: Look Man, I am not supposed to tell you this
ME: Uhh?
M$: Replace the hdd since your warranty is already voided. Must be ATA. Call
back and tell them about your error. They will help then, but they will need
your serial number.
ME: But I dont have one(bullshit).
M$: You will need one
ME: Ok man I really have one but just not in front of me
M$: Cool, does the dash boot up.
ME: No
M$: Try Evox, Is their anything else I can help you with sir?
ME: Whats Evox
M$: google, xbox scene, Thank you for calling MS and have a great day.
ME: Thanks, you too man

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAhaahHH!!!! THIS SHOULD BE IN THE COMEDY FORUMS!!! HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAH!! M$ told him to go for evox... you should call M$ and tell em... my xbox doesent work... i installed the mod chip just like you guys said but it doesent work... I WANT A REFUND! you will get the dude fired... but you will get a new xbox... (more than likely)

I could not believe this shiot. It was one of those moments where you dontbelieve what you just heard. I am going to call back when I have my serial nmbr and box in front of me. I dont want to get the dude fired because he is obviously one of us.

Exactly.. Tech support guys are just ppl (most likely hardcore modders) who probably have more reasons to hate MS than the average person does.. Contempt for a monopolizing incompetant company grows quickly when you hear about unreasonable problems all day long.. Hopefully his good will won't get him burned

You know, I'm sure there are M$ researchers out there that just READ forums and never make a post. M$ could have easily taught them those things or instructed them on where to go to research it and just told them not to mention it to any calling customers or else they'll get fired. Seems highly possible. How else would they find out how to change the XBox in the upcoming versions?
