I borrowed a friends movie, stuck it on my box, now I'm not sure how to view it. Tried Media Center, but I can only play parts of the DVD....cannot access the main menu, scene selection, etc. Is there an app I can get to play DVD files on my Hard drive?

Thx!

Ok, I had this problem also. I use dvd2xbox to copy the cd to my harddrive. I also have the current version of xbox media center. I copy the dvd to the video folder and then go into xbox media center. There I browse to the folder of the dvd and then open folder video_ts, or something similar, and in that folder is video_ts.ifo. If you tell media center to play this file, it will play through the entire movie. Hope this helps, and if you still aren't getting it to work, pm me and I can sit down with my box and help you out.

Also, you can't access the dvd menu yet with current software. They are working on it. But in media center while playing you can hit right on the d-pad and it will skip between chapters.

first u gotta copy it to ur f drive then find it in WMP and then u have to stack it so it will all play in one huge file and not just play for like 3mins then stop and u have to then find the next scene and play that and then so on. so make sure its stacked or compiled together or ur not gunna like it.

You don't have to stack it if you do the method I mentioned above. DVD2xbox can handle most dvds. I assume that you would have to stack it if you used file manager to transfer.
