Do they ban people with bigger hdd on xbl? If so what is the biggest hdd you can have without getting banned

yes u can get banned for having a bigger hdd but i believe the correct forums is the xbx live forums

what h34d5h0tz said, but a little more expanded but short explanation...

if you have played on live with your current config, then you will be banned if you upgrade to a bigger hd.

if you have not been on live with your xbox, and upgrade to bigger hdd, yo should be ok, as long as you follow "normal" precautions.

if you want to upgrade your hdd, spend the extra 10 bucks and get an extra eeprom. back up your "old" eeprom, put it on disc, and store it with your old hdd. then install new eeprom and new hdd at same time, then recover your gt. (before others chime in with "new gt", you will not need this if you swap eeprom/hdd at same time BEFORE getting banned).

i know this is wrong forum, but i really think there should be a pinned comment in the correct forum about adding in a new eeprom when upgrading hdd's if you have been on live.
