Is there any major difference in the mainboard architecture? Will all chips that work on 1.6 work on 1.6b

Yes, as long as you have a bios that is compatible with the 1.6b.

The main difference is the memory. They put cheap hynix memory in the 1.6b as opposed to 1.6.

Just make sure you use the M8_16+ bios and you will be good to go.

Well, this is a 1.6b box that I am doing for my boss. I have not purchased a chip as of yet and I was thinking of either the new Spider chip or a Xecuter 2.6 which I used on my 1.6 successfully. I know only the 16+ bios works on the 1.6 but I also had to rebuild the bottom of the mainboard and I hope it is the exact same rebuild for the 1.6b which I assume it is. If there is anything else I need to know please reply. Thanks for the responses!

if i was you i would just get the sider chip! you will not have to solder anything or re-build the d0 and lan. plus its the same price!

if you get the 2.6 all installing prosses is the same its just a different bios that im not sure about so some one has to help you with that!

What´s up: I recentley buy a new chip, the spider mod chip in divineo.

I want to install that chip in a xbox 1.6b (crystal pack).

But there's no install manuals for this version (1.6b) only they have the diagram for the 1.6.

So my question is: Is the same thing to install the spider chip with the diagram of the 1.6?????????????

And antonther thing: Is the same bios or I have to change that bios, so my xbox wanna work with that.
