if you buy this ps2 cable it can be converted to work on a xbox by rounding off the one side that has the flat corners on it . lol done it before using a cable box power cord . plus it looks better than the stock black cord

Personally I keep my plugs behind the Xbox.... So I dont see or car what color the cord is
Monster Cables are way over-rated and way over-priced....your basically paying for the name (and yeah a little of the look) hey, I personally don't care what you spend your money. I'm just saying a 12 buck power plug isn't gonna do anything but maybe boost your self confidence and lower your bank account.
Alrigh there's a MAJOR difference in a power cord and xbox, personally I never see the power cord, and in fact I think that power cord looks ugly as hell, it looks like it belongs on a child's play thing. Id much rather save my 12 bucks for a cold cathode or a bunch of leds.
Why would you upgrade a power cord? it still gonna deliver the same amount of power!

I cannot understasnd why someone would pay for this. For all of you that was wanting to do this you have a few option:

Generic Dual-Link DVI Cable: $13.99
I think these cables are a ripoff, and personally I wouldn't consider it an Xbox mod to spend 13 bucks on a power cable. To each his own, I suppose!

i know... in maximumpc they did some benchmarks on monster usb cables.... the $20 versus teh $0.25 cheap ass one... they both took about 4 minutes on average to transfer with a usb hard drive... except the monster was... gasp... 4 seconds faster...
Even if there is a slight gain, not that i've ever noticed, it isn't worth the several hundred percent price raise.

I can honestly say that I've been a fan of monsters products for a long time... long before they started whoring out in the lo-fi realm of best buy and circuit city.
I remember when I would buy monster cables for all my band equipment because it was a higher quality (low noise/durable construction) they were but a few bucks more than the generic cables and they came with a life time warantee (which I'd used on several occasions). Not to mention they looked essential the same as the generic cables.
If you're running your $4000 DVD player into your $10000 Projector and $12000 Surround sound system, then yeah the oxygen free 4X grounded monster cable for $120 is what you're looking for.
If you're plugging your $150 PS2 into a worthless hand me down TV from your grandmother then The last thing you need is a $12 power cable.
To be honest for home theater the monster cables are so-so. I bought the Monster S-Video and Optical cables for my Xbox. Out of the box the S-Video AV cable only produced mono audio and the optical connector didn't work. I got it replaced through Monster. About a month later the "cool looking" mesh around the optical cable had worked it self loose and the connector on one end simply fell off... JUST SITTING THERE!

You can tell the products that they still care about because they're competitively priced and aren't trying to look like something out of Star Wars.
