Hi. My X Box is a 1.6. It keeps coming up with the error 13. I have no modchips or anything. I had evox and mxm dash and i was going to ugrade my xbox harddisk to 100 gig. problem is now that i do not have any backup from evox and Slayers AutoInstaller wont bootup (when i put the disk in, it just goes to error 13). what can i do? (i still want to upgrade HDD). When i dont have error 13, i get error 14! Hotswapping doesnt work

error 13 - means something with the dashboard - it is not signed or somthing. so try putting your hdd in someone else's modded xbox, start the xbox up with a evox cd, then ftp m$dash back and hope that works.

i dont know ne1 with a modded xbox... i dont know anyone with a normal xbox either for that matter!

I dont think error 13 is completely about dashboard. When did you have it working and what did you do to make it stop working.

When you put in a game, what happens, does it start the game.

I have seen lot of posts about error 13 but nothing mentioning to have solved it. Did you change your dash. did you run anykinda update.

Hi, any game loads when i put it in but when i just boot without a game, it says error 13 and sometimes 14. how do i transfer files from xbox<>pc cos then i can stick the files i need on there. when ever i hotswap, it comes up in device manager but it says unallocated space= (the whole thing)

Also, when i hotswap, i get mild electric shocks !! (really)

Error 13 everytime I have run into it was a problem with the dashboard. I was pointing the bios to the wrong drive in the bootconfig.
