Gonna use a braid to remove some solder from the pinheaders and try to resolder them better. Whats you guys technique for getting the solder points good? On a few of them I got a solid connection that looks good, but others, the solder wouldn't flow into the holes around the pinheader. Do you guys heat the pin and then apply? Just some ideas. All the other solders were simple, i had the most probs with the pin header.

And also, does the x3 chip sit perfectly on the pin header? After doing mine i had about a quarter inch space between the plastic of the pin header and the chip, and was curious.

Thanks!

That is perfectly normal. As for the soldering I had the most luck using a 30 watt iron. You want to heat the pin up first and then apply the solder.

YES!!!!

Dude i used 15 watts the first time, and tried your technique with 30, the solder melted perfectly into the holes and its beautiful!!!!!! love.gif

I'm looking at the new bios now for x3. It has alot of options, but I was going to go with slayer, but having trouble getting it. Can anyone point me to some tutorials to getting this a evox dash? after this i'm lost until i find some documentation.

Thanks you inferno and everyone for you help!
