Hi all
I've just wondered whether it is possible to put subtitel-files on the hd and play the divx from cd. I've got a few movies on cd but without subtitels - so it would be nice to add subtitel to those movies via harddisk.....

To have subs in a movie, you must do 2 things forst you need to rename the sub exactly like the moviename, only in the end it must have.srt. Second the subs must be in the same folder as the movie.

Yep, RELAX searches for the subtitles before it starts a movie:
Fight Club.avi
Search for: Fight Club.sub, Fight Club.txt, and several other files.
You can also stick them on your HDD in whatever folder you specify in the XBMP config file.

I was wrong, it's not in the config file (it can be, but it's for more advanced stuff, read the PDF file).
Just make a subtitle file (even .txt will work) and name it the same as the movie (Fight Club.avi = Fight Club.txt), put it in the same folder as the movie.
Note that subtitles must be enabled in "General Settings".

i'm not having a problem with putting .avi and .srt and .sub in same directory, but I would have liked to seperate the two files in 2 driver - eg. cdrom and harddisc.
I'll try to look into that advanced stuff.....
Thanks for your help.

Hi Tyronesoft,
If you got a solution for this problem, could you please post it here, since I also got most of my films on cd, without the subs, so if it is possible to play a movie from cd, and point somewhere on the hdd (eg dir SUBS) where MP can get the subs this would be great.
Thx in advance,
BT.
