What is the main diff between these units... If I have a v1.0 what dont I have over 1.1, If I was to put X-ecuter2 Pro chip in, will I have a problem?

thanks for any help!

No problem....they are the same for your purposes, except you will have to remove the solder in the header location if you want to do a pin header install.

Now I know this is a noob and a half question but what is a pin header install blink.gif

A pin header is a small piece of plastic that holds two rows of pins. The differences between the V1 and V1.1 are these: V1.1: does not have GPU fan, has onboard USB controller(controller ports), has a different BIOS, the TSOP cannot be flashed, you cannot relock a HD.

Some 1.1s also have solder in the LPC holes. I have modded a few of them now like that... and yes, they were 1.1s. They didn't have the daughterboard in the front... they didn't have the fan on the NVIDIA chip and they required a 1.1 version of 4973.
