Sorry if this has already been posted, but I did a couple searches and couldn't find any solutions for my problem. Anyway, I did a quick UDE2 mod for a friend of mine, and eventually he went into the MS dashboard and changed the parental settings. Of course, this caused a memory layout problem, as has been outlined in these forums in several threads.

What I want to know is how to fix this memory layout problem. The Xbox freezes at startup, and though I can load up an alternative dashboard via modchip (Evox, UnleashX, etc.); I still can't run the MS dash, or any games (backup or originals). I can run pretty much all homebrew software (emulators, XBMC, other apps), but again all games and the MS dash fail to load, even with a chip in the box. There must be some way to fix this; somebody please help me!

Remove the parental settings he changed - and return it to normal. You can do all of this with config magic or live info.

is there any way to prevent this? This is the first i've heard of it and i want to warn all my buds about it

Fantastic! I didn't even know Config Magic could change that stuff. Thanks again.

Soulja - try downloading UXE Complete from the usual places. It doesn't require the MS dash on the C drive, so you can't fubar your box like I did. Do a quick search, and use this instead of the other UDE/UXE packages. Trust me, it'll save you a lot of headaches later.
