i have an xecuter 2.6 that im putting in a v1.6 box. I installed the chip and flashed the bios using my programmer and now it triple boot and frags with the chip enabled but works with it disabled. I'm pretty sure i flashed the right bios on the chip.. i put the flashBIOS 3.0.3 on banks 1,2 and m8 plus 16 on banks 3, 4. both banks frag...

You made a smart move putting the flashbios on 1st bank as it may come in useful as you are now finding out. However , sounds to me like you have a problem with your soldering. This is the classic frag because all points are not yet connected.

Did you do a pin header install ?
Did you use the lpc rebuild pcb ?

Pin header installs can be tricky to make all the points sometimes, they look ok but can infact be no connection.

Did you use a fibreglass pen to remove the laquer from the lpc points ?

You should always prep. up properly. Focus the heat onto the lpc points not onto the pins, you should get a nice flow of solder into the holes. Use some jelly flux or a flux pen.

Did you use the d0 point on the underside of the board ? this is by far the easiest point...

Basically , go over your solder points again, check and check again, us a magnifier if you have one.

I figured it out... Thanks for the help. one of the pins in the pinheader slid out when i was soldering so it wasn't touching the lpc. It all works now... thank god. Thanks again!
