Hello everybody, I've been kinda wishing for Xbox Live for a while ( my parents wont put credit card in though... ). Anyways, since I can't get it, I want to go ahead and MOD my xbox. I have a v1.0 Xbox. I have looked around, and I heard that Xecuter3 is one of the most popular. Anyways, I'm kind of a wuss, and I don't want to take THAT much of a chance with screwing my Xbox up. So let's say that I bought the Xecutor3, soldered it properly, blah blah blah, but then for some reason it wouldn't work. What are the biggest downsides to the Xecutor3? Is it quite a safe modchip?

Also, what is flashing?
How big of a HD should I buy and does it have to be a certain kind?
And I have a philips. is this good enough?

1. All modchips offered on xbox-scene.com are relatively safe.
2. READ HERE.
3. Needs to be lockable. Maxtor, Seagate, WD, Hitatchi are all good.
4. Phillips is fine.

no offensive but u should have spent a week doing nothing but reading before even buying the chip..so u dont have this problem
