I just set up a 1.6 XBOX using this, and I know nothing about Softmoding. What can I do, and not do?

I assume I can not add a new hard drive without an actual MOD correct?

Can I use the XBOXDASH update that comes with many new games, or will that over write the hacked files?

What files are hacked, and what are they called and where are they?

Do I need to patch UnleashX or any other dash to replace the Evox dash that SIN installs?

ANything else I should know?

If so how would I go about setting this up with the latest X2 bios, and installing it?

Also, I did not see mention anywhere about weather or not a Dash Update will destroy what ever SIN has going on. I noticed it uses nKpatcher. It sounds good, but once again, I don't know how advanced all this stuff it, I never followed it as every XBOX I've done till now has had a TSOP flash.

How do I construct a virtual C drive?

Also I could not find LTOOLS or Waffle-tools on XBINS, what catagory or directories are they in?

Ya, I looked last night for a VIrtual C pinned topic, only to find none. I also searched the forums for one, and didn't really come up with much of anything in the way of how to's.

Ummm I think ltools is somewhere under linux. Try searching around through everything it only took me about 15 minutes tops.

i usually run PBL-metoo .... m8 bios ....Evox and MXM dash, and add in Avalaunch

ltools 1.8 it installs uxe... with more updates stuff, but isnt necessary,

Ok, I got version 8, but this looks like it is for some game I don't have? Is there one that works with 007? Or better yet, since my XBOX is already soft MODed, is there a way to just update my soft MOD now that I can FTP to it and what not? Like do this by hand using nkPatcher 10 and the latest X2 BIOS or is this a no go?

I'd leave it as it is, but today when my nephew tried out a game that came with the XBOX, it automatically gave an error 21 because the live update wanted to run, and SIN seems to have killed that possability. :/

well nkpatcher isnt a bios loader - it patches the running memory so you wont need a bios to load. I personally like waffletools (its cleaner and more up to date) but if you dont like unleashx ltools works perfectly fine too. I would wait until waffletools incorperates nkpatcher10 or if you want to do everything by hand you can ftp over the UXE exploit and nkpatcher10. Right now nkpatcher > any bios loader... Check the xbe exploits section on the forums for more info and xbins-help people walk you through anything. (#xbins-help on EFnet for IRC).
