We our still wanting to know if anyone considered the member ship idea?

maybe this is just me but it looks unprofessional, hence i wouldn't buy from there. Don't ask me why, it just does. :-p

suggestions

size the front image correctly, redo it and raise the resolution (similar problem with your sig pic) - that is the first thing the customer sees when checking out your page. If its not clean they will close the window or go to a site they have had a good experience from, before they even check your site.

In the computer area there are 2 types of people (ones that look at price and ones that looks at specs) if you format your specs below it will give the page a more professional look - satisfy both types of people and make it seem like you have more stuff on there

Prices definatly need a bit of work on. They should be 5-10 over what ebay is just for reference on smaller items. Psus definatly are about 20-25 from most dealers (including myself) your mobo/hdd combo isn't bad on price. Id have to look over whats in the PCs to check on those but im sure other people will speak up and try to help you complete your site and make it look great.

My suggestions are that the main image(the atom "More than PC, Happy Holidays) is really pixelated therefore it looks like shit.

Site looks really pretty once you get into it, so I would either fix up the front page alot or I would trash it and start right at the catalog like many sites do. (customxbox.net\catalog) . The button text in the catalog is really blurry and same with the top where it says "The place for all computer and gaming needs". The buttons are too small and makes the text look crushed.

Enlarge the buttons and give a bigger margin between the letters and top\bottom of button.


As for the products, everything looks pretty good except for the computers as there are only 2 options. The family pc is just 100 off from the gaming yet it is horrible compared to the gaming pc. I would cheapen the family pc a little bit and make the gaming pc a bit more pricey(just a bit) so that there will be a bigger contrast between the computers.

We took some of your suggestions and we our editing the site.

The web site needs more boxes and lines to sperate things. Take a look at other modchip suppliers and see how they differ.


Also, MS paint is bad. I can tell you had a Jpeg that you saved at least 8 too many times. (the main logo)


The computers, well you might want to read up about how a performance gaming computer works.

The specs for your "gameing machine"

You pair a 3ghz processor with a 5200fx. Thats what we like to call a bottleneck. A huge one at that. The 5200 is more or less shit. Even the Geforce 4 Ti4200 cards are far better than it.

Also a "128Mb Nvidia Graphics Card" on the family one isnt very specific, at all.

i couldn't agree more - you can't have a bottleneck like that on a gaming machine. If you really want to do a good price/value adjustment - change the sb audigy 2 sound card and add a higher gfx card (whatevers current - i run a fx 5900 atm and its fine but these change quick) also the hard drive would be the next update - go with small raid drives if you want maximum performance. What mobo also ( i didn't check but i don't see it listed)
