So i finally decided to skin my tHc dash, everything works but the only problem is now that I have added a background, at the begining, the background is not present right away, it takes like a second to load. Is this normal? fixable perhaps, so that its there right away?

no - its not normal (for lite anyways). i usually see the cellwall for split second first- make sure yr bg image is 1024x512@32bit.
