Hi !

I tried flashing my eeprom with configmagic (final 1.0 for xbox v1.6) the new eeprom I had was from a 1.0 wich I backed up myself with configmagic. Now everything seemed to have went fine. But when I tried to reboot the machine it's not booting. When I press power it flashes green 3 times very rapidly then again 3 times a little bit slower then goes to solid green. The fan also starts full intensity then goes to idle and the hdd also as a delay befor it starts. I get no Video or Audio.

I'm using a Super Aladdin Live Modchip and the Xbox is a v1.6 with Evox M8_16 and stock HDD.

So far I've tryed : Swapping HDD. Reflashing the chip's bios. Using cromwell bios with embed eeprom. but nothing works.

I'm pretty sure v1.0 eeproms are different from v1.6 so you probably flashed the wrong type of eeprom to your chip then. I think a version of Cromwell may be able to reflash it, not too sure though.

I'm thinking, would a debug bios be able to boot even if the eeprom is screwed ? I know Yoshihiro just released one for the 1.6....

When i messed up my eeprom i had same problem as you. But i used a zenium ice chip which allowed me to ftp my eeprom and restore the original.

Never used a Xenium... I find them too expensive for my needs... Guess it's less expensive than a new Xbox tough...

So it boots before the eeprom does and has an ftp server built-in ?
Does Xecuter 3 have this feature too ?

Well I tried the debug eeprom and it did not work.

I'm getting desperate now...

I also checked the transistor near the Xyclops chip to see if it was faulty but it seems good...

things like this are what makes the xenium so sweet...yest it boots to a machine with web server, ftp server, usb support, etc so that you can tool around and move the correct bios where it needs to be, etc.. its just comfy to know that your box is working (even when the eeprom flash is screwed)

Is your box booting with the mod chip fine, or is everything hosed?

Yeah I ordered a Xenium last night... Hope it'll fix it...
