I am upgrading my xbox hd from a 120 to a 300 gb hd. when i upgraded originally, i used knoppix to do a straight sector copy from the original hd to the 120. i remember i had to format the F: drive using ftp commands in evox, and that the F: drive has a maximum capacity of 137 gb.
