I read the tutorial on how to mod a thomson dvd drive. To measure the resistance I would assume that a multimeter is needed. I look at radio shacks website and all I could find was ones that showed VERY general estimations. Does anyone have any suggesttions on something I can use?

I thought the only dvddrive you could mod to work in the xbox was a samsug 616t or sumthin

The Thomson is already an xbox drive...

What multimeter are you finding that gives a general idea? Such a thing exists?

Get the digital one from rat shack, its $15 or something if I remember correctly...

Llama.com sells a similar one for $8 I believe...

Here's an example

Note the screen, and how it displays "1.999"

So, how many decimal points do you want for your readings, exactly?
Wattman
