ive been told u can play backed up games directly from ur PCs hard drive over the ftp network is this tru if so how do i do it?

ive allready ftp`ed my disk to a directory on my PCs disk and its complete but now what do i do to get it to work?

dude, you might as well take ur pc hdd and put it in ur xbox...

I think it is very possible, just not quite yet. Considering you all streem everything else. Try launching thourgh a shared dierctory in XBMP. In theory, it should be work.

But streaming Music/videos is WAY different than streaming an entire game.

Think about it, you'd have to load the entire game on your HD before you could play it, then it would still be on your HD when you shut down.. pain in the ass.

how about impractical, totally useless, very silly and unlikely to ever be implemented due to the above reasons?

Music and video works 'cos its delivered in a set stream.... games are essentially random access. so the buffer therefore has to be the complete game, not just the next/previous six mins of video.

I'd like to able to stream games, but most things trasfer in a few minutes anway. or try project 411. im sure ive seen some places that sell 'empty' cases so you can house the new hdd easily. im sure that a clever person could set it so that all hdd turned 'off' in relation to the xbox, are 'on' in relation to your raided pc.

f*ck that for a challenge though
