I desoldered the original bi-color lights on the pcb and put in my own...On the first one I did, the solder stuck to the joint nicely, so I figured flux wasn't needed. However, on the second one, the solder just would not stick. I tried and tried, but it would not make a good connection. Will flux help me in this situation?

Also, is there a way to see if I ruined that side of the PCB? I used a multimeter to test the side with the light already connected (which read 3.3V)...however, I tried to test it on the right by putting the pin into the hole, but I got nothing. Is that because I ruined the board or because there is no light to draw power to it? Any help you guys could offer would be great! Thanks.

i like to use solder with a flux core. makes things a lot eaiser. does the pcb work to turn the system on and off?

I was kinda thinking the same thing...have you tried that before and can you close it without too much trouble?

bump pls...anyone done this mod by connecting the light to the yellow wires?

just leave the LED's in and re-make the PCB by using wires from the connector to the relevant legs on the LED's!
