Being a noob sucks.
I shall never bash a noob in any forum I am in.
I swear.

Is there an easy way to lock the hard drive? It's the stock drive... I keeps getting the error screen on boot with code #5.

My kids are spazzing out because I can't fix it for them...

Do you have a modchip? If so then put Config Magic on a CD or DVD using a tutorial and use it to lock the drive. If not, you can unlock it in DOS using a tutorial.

Wish I did have a modchip. Can it be locked in DOS, or just unlocked? And ya wouldn't happen to know where I can get that tutorial, would ya?

use hdd maker to get eeprom and lock it

Do you know your eeprom by any chance, because if you dont, your gona needa modchip

Umm... and how is this done? Sorry for all the noob stuff. Ask me anything about XP and I can answer ya correctly. Xbox however is greek to me...
