I am looking into getting a mod chop. I beleave i have a v1.0 box. What would be the best i could get under $60.

go with xenium ice. Easy to quicksolder install on a 1.0 box.

Does that have a solderless option? Would the Xecuter 3 be better if i can spend the money? I guess if i am going to spend the money i should get the best? Truly what would you do?

of the gen4 chips i think smartxx is the best, i believe it has a solderless option

but if you cna solder a little (not even much) you can do a TSOP flash and add a switch for Live more or less for free
